Muddy River was a little bit of a downer for an encore at times. Sometimes, though, you could really sway to it and it was a nice way to unwind for the "trip out."

I'm sure the older guys will create a long list of great 70's versions. There is one from 78 that completely rocks, but I forget.

Partial to Brent and the end of the 80's, 6-20-88 wasn't too shabby. And 4-5-89 had a decent US Blues to close first set.

Good tune, especially when Jerry gets on the throttle for "my oh my!"
